Tiger 4 MT rigid – with optional fertiliser unit

At the Agritechnica show HORSCH exhibits a version of a rigid Tiger with 4 m working width that has been specially adapted for Eastern Europe, the Ukraine and Russia. The machine shows its strong points in countries where there are not restrictions with regard to transport width. With regard to the working tools HORSCH relies on the well-proven combination of two rows of large discs (diameter: 68 cm) and two rows of TerraGrip tines (release force: 800 kg). The new Tiger 4 MT rigid is equipped with a middle chassis and a double RollPack packer. For the first time in a Tiger cultivator the middle chassis is designed for being used without the packer. Thus, the soil can be left often before the frost similar to a rough furrow. The packer in general also extends the range of use of the Tiger in very dry or also wet conditions.

Additionally, there now is a fertiliser unit available as an option with a 2520 litres tank. The system compliments the procedures already known from the Focus TD and the Partner HT to be able to offer an optimum solutions for fertiliser application in all conditions. It is a simple entry into the sector of placed fertilisation which now works for the first time for a Tiger without separate seed waggon. Placed fertilisation increases efficiency and compared to conventional fertilisation and saves costs. Especially with regard to phosphate the systems help to improve fertiliser efficiency. The placed fertiliser is immediately available to the plant and remains available for a long time. Depending on the adjustment at the distributor of the cultivator coulter the fertiliser can be placed shallowly, deeply or 50:50. Thus, it is also possible to fertilise the lower topsoil.
