KESLA cutLINK – the revolutionary innovation for mechanized pre-commercial clearing

"There has been a lot of talk about mechanization of forestry but until now there has not been technology that would enable e.g. pre-commercial clearing" , says Mika Tahvanainen, Marketing Director of Kesla.

Kesla is now launching a new solution for clearing, a clearing head for professionals with innovative screw cutting. The idea and the structure are simple and dependable with no wear parts. The cutting screws won’t get damaged if driven to ground, rocks etc. This means low costs and easiness of use. The cutting surface of the stumps is rough and there will not re-grow. Therefore only one handling is needed.

"We believe that these benefits will make mechanical clearing profitable for both the entrepreneur and the forest owner", says Tahvanainen.

Kesla launches the a version of the clearing head that suits different machines from tractors to harvester machines and excavators.  The KESLA cutLINK will be on display at Kesla Oyj's section at SkogsElmia (section 496).
