Strong growth in Kongskilde’s Industrial Division

Kongskilde’s Industrial Division is experiencing a healthy growth. The year started with a 20 percent increase in turnover in the division that specialises in handling process waste in the paper and plastic industry. Several new solutions and a partnership with a major new customer bode well for the future.

The first quarter of the year saw a broad-based growth in Kongskilde’s eight largest markets in the industrial section. Overall, revenue increased by 20 percent compared with the same quarter in 2014. The principal markets are Scandinavia, England, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, South Africa and the USA.

Intensive product developments and progressive sales efforts are the main reasons for this significant growth, says Ole Gade, Managing Director of Kongskilde Industries A/S.

Ole Gade expects this growth to continue. The new and ground-breaking Component Vacuum Loader solution (CVL), which lifts small plastic components in order to quickly and gently transport them, helps to reinforce the optimism in Kongskilde's Industrial Division. The solution replaces the use of conveyor belts or manual transport in boxes.

Marketing of the CVL solution started in the United States earlier this year. This has already been intensified by very satisfactory test results in the factory of a major American manufacturer of plastic components.

The recent ICE exhibition in Munich was a great success with triple-digit numbers of queries, which will be followed up on in the coming months. In particular the company’s small cutters received a great deal of interest. They handle, among other things, plastic waste from food packaging.

Kongskilde is confident about the long-term developments. The combination of the company's component lifting technology and the use of stainless steel will ensure a breakthrough in solutions for the food and pharma industries.

In addition, the division’s solutions for the recycling of paper and plastics will help companies to meet the EU's 2020 environmental targets, which require that at least 50 percent of waste must be recycled.
